IntroducinG Lex!
I am a senior at Columbia University looking to break into the entertainment industry with emphasis on animation, VFX, and post-production. Currently, I am majoring in East Asian Languages and Cultures, with specific focuses on Japanese studies and East Asian Cinema and Media Cultures. Proud to be a first-generation student of Nigerian, Puerto Rican, and Mexican heritage, my passion lies in empowering brilliant artists to tell stories about people who look, think, act, and love like I do. As such, I am most interested in areas such as Development/Current Programming and Production Management, especially within Animation Television, though I am extremely open to learning more about live-action and/or feature-length production pipelines as well. My long-term goal is to rise to a Development Executive position in which I can greenlight series that really make a difference in young peoples’ lives, and nurture creatives into confident, outspoken artist-activists.

In terms of prior experience, I have recently completed an internship in Downtown Los Angeles at Drive Studios. Experiences as an intern included on-set PA experience for a WarnerMedia spot, deep dives into the post-production pipeline for commercials and music videos, script coverage for feature-length dramas and science-fiction works, and a paid position as a junior artist on an untitled science-fiction picture being produced by Universal. Outside of production management, I also have experience in costume design for both stage and film productions, and costume design served as one of my earliest artistic passions within entertainment.

At the moment, I am searching for internships or production assistant experiences in animation, and I am generally looking to forge meaningful relationships so that I can learn as much as possible about different aspects of the domestic and international Animation Industry.
